PC fails to power on following BIOS update.
You can purchase CR2032 batteries for just $1 by buying three at a time in dollar stores. They are manufactured using gold in Germany. You might want to try booting from an Ubuntu Live USB stick, which can help you avoid issues with Windows or the boot drive. If your system runs smoothly on the USB, it suggests the hardware is fine and the problem likely lies with Windows drivers. Good luck!
I tried swapping the battery, but it didn’t help. Since I don’t have another computer to build a new drive, I made one using the latest BIOS, though the person was away today.
I changed everything and even tested five different BIOS updates using FAT32 drives. I renamed the files, updated QFlash+, reinserted both RAM sticks, tried placing them individually in each slot, unplugged all USB ports and the graphics card, but nothing appeared. I also experimented with another monitor type just to figure it out. How did this become so difficult with just a BIOS update?
