PC fails to power on but the CPU and DRAM debug lights are illuminated?
Hey everyone,
my PC suddenly froze today. When trying to power it back up, the CPU LED lit up for about half a second, then changed to the DRAM LED for roughly three seconds before turning off. After that, the system ran for 10 to 20 seconds before shutting down and repeating the same sequence. The fans also got noticeably louder during this time. There was no display signal, and neither my keyboard nor mouse responded.
Since this is happening again, I attempted a CMOS reset, but it didn’t help this time. The CPU wasn’t removed after the freeze. Changing the RAM only caused the two LEDs to blink rapidly or kept the DRAM LED on continuously. Now only one stick is installed.
The startup process looks similar to a normal boot before the freeze, except the fans are quieter and the PC doesn’t restart once the LEDs stop.
Here are my details:
Motherboard: B360M Bazooka
CPU: Intel Core i7 (probably integrated graphics)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz
I’m hoping someone can assist me with this issue. I bought the MSI PC prebuilt, so anyone who asks is welcome.
Greetings, Kibarl
