PC fails to power on after updating to the new AMD Ryzen 7 5800X on the ASROCK B450 Pro.
I purchased a new RAM and CPU, installed everything, but it wouldn’t boot. After leaving it in the RAM, I reinstalled the old CPU and it worked. However, once the new CPU was installed, only the GPU fans turned on and it kept power cycling. Running Windows 11, I tried resetting the CMOS. Any advice would be appreciated.
They mentioned some issue with Windows 11 connecting to the CPU after an update. Reverting to Windows 10 might resolve the problem. Does that make sense?
I’m not familiar with those details, but I understand that many B450 boards need 3000 series chips or lower for a BIOS upgrade. My B450M DS3H V2 had to update its BIOS to work with all 5000 Series chips.
