I connected the SATA and power, but after turning it on I didn’t see it at all. I decided to give it a chance later and opened up YT to relax. Only then did I notice it wasn’t making any sound—no audio, nothing is muted, and it even detects when I take off my headphones. I tested them with my phone, which still worked perfectly. So I unplugged the hard drive and the SATA cables, but it still didn’t produce any noise. I’m really worried I might have damaged my computer completely. Please help me out!

You connect your headphones to your PC by finding the audio header on the bottom left of most motherboards, which is often labeled HD audio or a similar term. Make sure it’s securely plugged in before powering up, even if it seems stable.

nothing was removed, I double-checked everything. but I just got USB headphones, so I decided to test them out and they actually worked. I’m trying to figure out what’s causing that annoying buzzing sound in every game I play, which has disappeared after switching to the new headphones.
