Details: CPU Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Motherboard Msi B650 Gaming Plus, RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR5 2 x 32GB 5200MHz, Graphics card Msi Ventus X2 RTX 3060. Issue: PC runs fine in A2/B2 slots but not in A1/B1 or slot A. Even after reinstalling Windows with a single RAM stick, it works but testing continues. Replaced both motherboard and RAM with identical models, updated BIOS to latest version. Seeking additional fixes or testing methods for RAM and PC performance.

This outcome is fairly typical. Given how memory pathways are managed, the A1 and B1 areas tend to experience more disruption unless A2 and B2 are also active. It's not unusual for certain motherboards to fail to boot at all with just those slots enabled, particularly with DDR5 technology and its extremely fast data rates.

It seems the issue might be with DDR5 RAM and the slots. You should still be cautious, but testing them could confirm if it’s a real problem or just a false alarm.

In reality, those additional slots shouldn't be needed in DDR5. When they're used, your working memory slows down to the level of DDR4. Just use slots A2 and B2 and you're good to go.
