One day my computer failed to power on the diagnostic LEDs, despite my attempts to adjust the power supply. Interestingly, the LAN port light stays on when I connect the cable. I’m running out of ideas and could use some assistance.

CPU power connectors, motherboard power, and PCIe power (for GPUs requiring multiple connectors) are connected and confirmed to be correctly placed. The power source is activated.

Certain PSUs struggle with the paperclip test due to inadequate power handling. The outcome varies based on other components' loads, but it likely points to a motherboard front panel header wiring problem or a defective PSU.

I connected the pins directly but what does a DOA PSU mean?

Attempted to power down the PSU by unplugging it while keeping the PC grounded, removing the CMOS battery, and either pressing the power button briefly or letting it rest for a short time to discharge capacitors. If unsuccessful, disassembled the system, placed essential parts on an insulating surface, and tested whether the unit could start. This helps identify faulty components and prevent case damage.

DOA stands for Dead On Arrival. I’m not sure why they chose that term since it doesn’t fit the situation.

If it doesn't function as intended, it might be faulty, faulty, or expired. Others sometimes describe it in similar terms.

The system comes with a specific power supply unit, identified by its brand and model details.
