PC fails to boot following MSi Afterburner GPU overclocking?

Adjusted my rog strix rtx 2080 slightly with an msi afterburner.
Computer stopped during Heaven 1440 extreme benchmark test.
Now it won’t boot (only the GPU LED is active).
Flashing the motherboard RGB when I turn the power switch on doesn’t help—still no boot.
New PC, just one week old.
Gigabyte z390 pro gaming mobo
32gb trident z rgb 3200 c16
Rog strix 2080s advance edition
750w psu gold (5 years old)
I 9900k (no OC)
Fractal s36 cooler
Meshify s2 case
I’m really worried—could I have damaged the motherboard or the PSU?

I doubt overclocking your RTX 2080 Super is required. The necessity varies based on the extent of the overclocking. Your graphics card might be at risk. How far did you adjust the voltage and other settings?

It's conceivable the GPU failed because of excessive overclocking, or it might have been caused by a faulty power supply unit. Share your complete PC specifications.

Try removing GPU and attempt to boot. If successful, uninstall or set the default profile for Afterburner. Reinstall and check functionality. I haven't encountered cases where Afterburner prevents system operation, so the slider typically reverts.

I plan to try again soon and make the update. The PC shop installed the wires, but it's possible they didn't connect one properly on the motherboard, leading to an electrical issue.
