The setup boots up smoothly but shows some warning lights. CPU flashes briefly, then DRAM indicators stay on. I've checked various RAM sticks and slots, tried different configurations, and even updated the BIOS. I looked up compatibility on Asus' site but couldn't find a match for the Corsair RAM. The manual didn't mention resetting CMOS either. I'd recommend giving the board a proper test before final assembly. If it still doesn't work, consider seeking another opinion before proceeding with the replacement.

Are you considering a CPU reinstall? That could clear the CMOS.

Uncertain about the exact location of the CMOS reset or the procedure, I reviewed the manual twice but found no relevant information about this board. It seems the reset might occur simply by removing the CMOS battery.

Welcome to the discussions! Have you attempted starting with only one RAM module, usually the second one near the CPU? Pages 1-2 and 1-3 of the Clear RTC guide are available. Cut the two pins for #14 or by taking out the CMOS battery when the device is off.

You removed the CPU cooler, accidentally pressed the power button, and the system started up. This suggests the cooler might have been causing a short circuit. Replacing it again didn’t help, but now it boots normally without the cooler.

It's possible the cooler was too tight, causing the motherboard to flex and disrupting the connection between the CPU pads and pins in the socket. Double-check your installation steps to ensure everything is set correctly. This issue hasn't occurred with my experience if the explanation above isn't the reason.
