I doubt it was only the power supply change; I’m checking the PCIe port and power connections to see if anything else is affecting them.
It focuses on the cable issue since it's using an outdated power supply. This setup uses an old PSU—should I just switch to a new PCIe cable?
Consider adding more cables with the PSU. Would another option work? And what about that transistor on the two right pins of the GPU side? I haven’t seen it before. Honestly, the 24-pin and 8-pin CPU cables are braided, while the PCIe cables aren’t. It seems like there are different cable types overall.
Are there additional PCIe cables available? You mentioned at least one more—does that cable include a transistor? From the original PSU cables, CPU, and 24-pin connectors, it seems the braided cables are the only ones. On one side of the connector, your GPU should display "PCIe," and there should also be two braided CPU cables, each capable of splitting into two 4-pin connectors.
