Hi, I recently had my computer assembled for a few days and encountered some problems. While trying to rearrange the cables, I moved my graphics card into another PCIe slot but couldn’t boot at all. Earlier, everything worked fine. I’ve seen both the CPU and DRAM debug lights stay lit, which reminded me of an issue from when I first built the PC—back then I hadn’t received the RAM yet and checked fans and lights. I wondered if the RAM might be the problem. I’m unable to test any other RAM since I don’t have any. My current setup includes: MSI B350 PC MATE Ryzen 3 1300X, 16GB DDR4 2400MHz, Crucial RAM, RADEON HD 7870 2GB. Any advice would be really helpful! Also, the motherboard seems to be the root cause.

Have you experimented with a cold boot? Additionally, Ryzen setups usually restart around five times before updating, which means allowing the system to handle that naturally can be useful, even though it might be annoying.

A cold boot refers to when a device or system is powered off and then restarted, often causing temporary issues.

Find the power button at the rear of the computer, disconnect the power cord, switch the machine on at the front to release any leftover electricity, wait a few seconds or a minute, reconnect the cord, activate the rear switch, and finally turn on the front unit.

I attempted that already, but it didn’t help. Now I’ve removed the motherboard from the case and tried to boot, though it’s still not working.

You'll likely need to wait for the updated RAM, as it probably points to the current problem. In newer setups, I've observed that power might not turn on correctly until a short delay, so patience is key. It could also help testing the PSU with a paperclip or hair to confirm its functionality.

I attempted to take out the CPU, but only the CPU debug indicator lit up (probably because there wasn't any CPU present), not both CPU and DRAM lights. This might suggest a problem with the CPU itself.

The motherboard was the problem. Got a new one and it started working again.

I apologize, it's kinda old post but I am among the unfortunate ones with the same exact problem experiencing right now and I am losing it. I just want to ask: What was the exact problem in the motherboard? Was it something related to power delivery within the motherboard? My primary PCIE X 16 GEN 4.0 slot is experiencing the same behavior an when I turn on the system with the GPU in that slot, The Orange DRAM light is continuously on and there is no POST. I have Rog STRIX B550F gaming motherboard.Just stumbled here finding a solution to the problem on the net.
