PC failing to boot
Hi there,
CPU model is Ryzen 5800x, GPU is Nvidia 3070, RAM is DDR4 2 x 16GB Corsair Vengeance, CPU cooler is Dark Rock Pro 4, SSD is WD 1TB NVME, and the motherboard is MSI B550M.
The system has worked well for the past two and a half years until recently. No overclocking or undervolting has been performed.
Today I encountered a boot issue—motherboard lights turned red, and nothing happened. I tried plugging and unplugging the power cable several times, then restarted, and eventually it booted to the recovery screen. I attempted to start Windows normally, which worked without problems.
Since then, I noticed the PC has been experiencing cold boot issues. After a cold start, it goes to recovery and can't repair itself, so I now launch Windows 10 as usual. The MOBO displayed a red boot light. Once it boots, it functions properly, but if left unattended for a while, the same issue recurs.
I updated the CMOS battery and refreshed the BIOS, but the situation worsened. Now I see a VGA red light on the motherboard during boot, and I receive an error saying "critical process dead." The automatic repair tries but fails, refusing to reset the system. The system restore option lists previous points, yet I can't select a previous restore. I’ve managed to enter the BIOS, which shows updates, but the time displayed is incorrect.
I’m stuck in this cycle now.

I performed a full reset via Windows on a USB drive, yet the issue persists. During cold boot I see the same screen, and it eventually starts working properly. Warm boots also function but if I power off the PC and wait a few minutes before trying again, the problem recurs. It seems hardware might be the cause—could the power supply unit or motherboard be the most probable issues?
