Hello, I’m facing a problem with my PC mainly around the boot process. When I press the power button, there’s a noticeable 10-second pause before the system powers on, but no display appears—only the standard motherboard LED lights. I’m certain that during this delay the PC actually starts up, yet nothing shows up on screen. I keep trying to boot until I reach the “no delay” option, which then boots normally.
I also noticed yesterday that the BIOS LED keeps blinking. I’ve tried interacting with it and performing a CMOS reset, but neither helped with the booting issue.
The only solution that works is repeatedly attempting to boot until it finally starts without delay.

My PC specifications are:
Motherboard: Maximus Hero IX
RAM: 16 GB Corsair
CPU: Intel Core i7 7700k
GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 1070
Power Supply: EVGA 850W Gold
This machine was built in 2016, so I’m unsure if it needs hardware maintenance. I’ve been using it heavily since then—there’s no day without turning it on, which makes me think it might require some upkeep.

Following the first suggestion, I re-seated the motherboard and even removed some of the I/O shield around the BIOS/CMOS buttons to ensure they weren’t pressing the buttons. However, that didn’t resolve the problem. I’m starting to believe it might be a hardware issue.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? And if so, what steps did you take to fix it? Thanks in advance.

EVGA represents the brand, 850W indicates the claimed power output, and Gold signifies the advertised 80+ efficiency rating. What model is this device and how recent is it?
I plan to disconnect from the wall and the display, then replace the CMOS battery with a new cell to test if the system starts up. You should be able to update your BIOS to the latest version, which might fix the issue. If that works, it suggests a corrupted BIOS prevented the POST.

I just swapped the battery and checked the voltage on the old one—it read 3.1 volts, so I think it was still okay. I also updated the BIOS using the flash method. The PC turned on but shut down immediately afterward before booting up again normally. Hopefully this was the problem, though I recall about two years ago when my power supply made a strange noise that stopped eventually, and I forgot about it. I have the video here:
Yes it does work. I tried booting up the PC again this morning after following what
@Lutfij
suggested but i'm still having the same exact issue even tho i changed the CMOS battery and updated BIOS.
I click on the power button

Delay 10-15 secs
---->
LED BIOS FLASHING in the back is blinking
---->
LED Stops blinking
---->
PC turns on but i get no display
---->
I go back to step 1
if there's delay i know it's not going to turn on properly so i keep trying again and again till there's no delay.
Sometimes if i'm lucky the PC turns on first try in the morning but other times i have to try 5/6 times before it finally decides to boot normally.
Just don't know what could be the issue.
