PC experiences crashes after enabling XMP support.
I share a very similar problem. My system has 12900kf, RTX3080, the tuf z690 d4, and Corsair Vengeance Pro 3600 c18. I'm also stuck with RAM limits above 3200. I can turn on XMP but have to lower the speed to 3200 or it won't load at all. I think the RAM might be faulty, but I need confirmation. I have one stick with XMP 1 3600 that works at boot but crashes within a minute. The other stick also fails to reach speeds above 3200. Any advice from your side? Could you share more details about when the issue started? Your setup and troubleshooting steps were helpful earlier.
I recently switched from a 2x8GB Corsair 3200 to a 2x16GB Kingston 3200 on a 2700X system. The Kingston set won’t stay reliable in some cases when running at 3200, even though it’s listed for that speed and approved on QVL. The Corsair performed well for years, but their products have different versions on QVLs, making it hard to get the right model later. I used profile 2 with 2933 settings. If stability fails, I’ll send it back. Even the regular speed of this Kingston RAM is lower than the Corsair’s 2400 vs 2666.
I face the same issue, but I can start Windows successfully. The problem is it either freezes right after booting or runs smoothly for hours, then crashes during Gskill DDR4 4400MHz testing. Should I try raising the voltage further?
