As mentioned in the title, the PC performed well for several years before reaching three years. It appears components are lacking sufficient power. I changed the CMOS battery once, which briefly improved things for a few days, but issues reappeared. Could the power supply be the problem? The graphics card displayed a blinking white light, which disappeared after driver updates. The PSU was replaced about a year ago with a Corsair 650W unit purchased from Best Buy. Recently, I disabled hibernate and sleep functions completely, without using a screen saver. The PC operated normally for the past week; it shut down last night and now enters an off state where no peripherals are powered, fans spin, lights stay on but the power button remains engaged. The only way to shut it down is by flipping the PSU switch, which I prefer not to do again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the power plan and disabled Hibernate and sleep? I usually turn them off!
MSi board
Go to BIOS > Advanced Settings > Wake up event Setup > Turn on "Wake on USB device"

Yeah. I turned both off last week and the screen saver, it ran for about a week. I shut it down last night, and now it’s hibernating or losing power. It’s running in an odd state where I can’t wake it up or shut it down. The only thing I can do is flip the PSU switch to try again, which I did recently and it ran for around 15 minutes, then the same thing happened.

Could the connection in the computer case be causing issues with resetting SW pins? If the power wasn't reaching it properly, the system wouldn't boot. It might also be that the case's switch is malfunctioning.

Everything seems linked, even if it was a switch—why wouldn't mouse or keyboard activity activate it? Those settings are enabled, I confirmed. It shouldn’t just shut down completely but also remain operational without a clear way to turn it off. When it runs normally, the power button functions properly as I’ve shut it down before. Holding the power button won’t stop the PC, which is confusing.
