I assembled a PC this morning using various components. The parts include a Ryzen 9 7900x with an Asus Strix X670e-a gaming motherboard, Wi-Fi 2, 16GB DDR5 RAM at 5200MHZ, and a 700W PSU. I’m certain everything is connected properly. When I power on the system, the motherboard lights activate but the PC remains inactive—no LEDs or fans respond. I plan to remove the motherboard for further testing. What alternative steps could I consider?

Ensure the case's power switch is properly linked. Consider using a screwdriver to jump the power source onto the motherboard.

Use a microcontroller on an unpowered surface, then connect the power supply to the microcontroller. Attempt to activate it directly without any other components.

The outcome shouldn't depend on whether the cooler is included.

Set the cooler in place. If successful, insert RAM into slots A2 and B2 on the motherboard.

You can place it here, though it doesn’t affect anything. We need a beginning, so no extra details, no background. Just start.

What power supply? If you can't tell, snap a photo of its wattage chart. Connect the board to a PSU and install only the CPU—yes, add the cooler just in case it fails. If it doesn’t power on, gently move the 24-pin connector; sometimes it’s too sensitive and won’t turn on in certain setups. Not sure what term fits that situation? If it still won’t start, replace it.
