Pc died after OC
Hello everyone, today I was testing my GTX 780 Gigabyte with overclocking settings. It worked well using MSI Afterburner and MSI Kombustor for benchmarking. I increased the core clock from 55 to 60 and the memory clock from 550 to 600. After a few seconds, the benchmark completed and I heard a loud pop—then the screen went off. I thought my PC might have caught fire, so I removed all cables and put it away. Luckily, nothing was damaged. What do you think happened? Did the PSU fail or something else? The GPU and PSU were hot. My PC specs are: i5-4430 3.00 GHz, GTX 780 Gigabyte, 16 GB Kingston RAM, 800 watt PSU. It looks like it came from a reputable brand—probably Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3. This machine is seven years old and had a good life.
