Hello,
A few weeks ago I purchased an RTX 4080 and since then my PC has been acting strangely. After installation, the computer boots up properly, but once logged in, it begins to lag and eventually freezes completely before restarting. Upon rebooting, a short DRAM light appears on the motherboard. I need some assistance with this issue.

Is the GPU brand new or used?
What type of power supply are you connecting?
Are you testing RAM with memtest?
Which GPU model was previously installed?
How warm are the GPU and CPU becoming?

The GPU is functional, though I tested it with a friend and it performed well there. The RAM is brand new. Here are my specifications: motherboard MSI Tomahawk B650 WiFi, CPU Ryzen 7 7700X, GPU Asus Rog Strix RTX 4080 OC, RAM Corsair Vengeance 32GB, PSU Corsair RM850e. The previous GPU was a 4060. CPU temperatures are higher now, but with water cooling it stabilizes at 60-70°C during startup and cools down afterward.

Update the BIOS on your motherboard
Inspect the latest RAM using MemTest
😉

Hey,
I just did a fresh install of Windows and also updated the BIOS.
I checked the RAM and everything seemed okay.
At first, the refresh rate was set to 60 HZ and it worked well, but once I changed it to 165 Hz it started freezing and crashing again.
I'm really frustrated because I haven't used my computer much lately.
Thanks for your help!

which video cable are you employing?
consider trying another one or adjusting the port.
which display is it?
test at 100Hz and gradually increase, monitoring if performance remains stable between 60Hz and 165Hz.
