A few days back, while watching on Twitch, my PC displayed a Blue screen three times in one hour. Initially, I was playing an RPG Maker game, but later switched to Minecraft Legends. There were no abrupt shutdowns during chatting or watching YouTube, only when gaming. The error alerts appeared as: "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" and "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA." The next day I looked for a fix. I turned on automatic paging file management, assumed it would help, and updated my drivers (they were already current). That day I streamed "As Dusk Falls" and everything worked fine. The issue recurred the following day while playing "Stray" for about an hour or two without streaming. I reviewed the reliability history and discovered the BSOD codes and parameters:

Notes: I recently swapped one old memory stick via warranty because the system wouldn’t start with it. During boot, there was a brief beep and a diode on the motherboard lit up.
I’m using an audio interface for my XLR mic, which stays on after a BSOD. I read online that this might be a USB error issue, which worries me. There’s also a Sony a5000 camera connected via HDMI Grabber constantly.
I ran MemTest86 and it failed in several tests:
- Test 6: Block move, 64-byte blocks – 75% failure rate, 1646 errors
- Test 7: Moving inversions, 32-bit pattern – 75% failure, 603 errors
- Test 8: Random number sequence – 75% failure, 64 errors
- Test 9: Modulo 20, ones & zeros – 75% failure, 1156 errors

Some additional details: I recently replaced a pair of memory sticks through warranty due to boot issues. There was a short beep during startup and a diode on the RAM module was visible.

The Ryzen 2600 likely won’t support 4 3000MHz RAM modules. It could work if the chips are from a reliable refurbished source. Disable XMP/DOCP settings and run a memory test using Memtest86.
You can still use the same models and settings while switching to dual channel mode.
It's not the RAM issue—it's about the CPU's memory controller. 2666 works fine. 2933 functions well on most Zen+ boards with two sticks. 3000 and higher can be challenging on Zen+, often not possible. I've noticed some systems handling two sticks at 3200 stably, though that's uncommon. Four sticks (four slots active) put extra pressure on the controller. Even certain Zen 2 chips struggle above 3200 when all four slots are used. That's what I've observed. Most Zen2 models reach 3200, and 3600 is normal. Only Zen 3 CPUs seem to handle four slots faster than 3600 without trouble. The memory controller in Zen and Zen+ is relatively weak.
It functioned for about six months before I had to swap it out because one of the sticks failed. I haven’t run MemTest yet since I couldn’t boot with those drives, but they were replaced under warranty, so they likely weren’t working. I performed a chkdsk and will check if that helped. Next, I’ll try disabling XMP. Maybe I’m being too doubtful, but thanks for your advice! I’ll update you if anything changes.
Hey there, I've gotten back after a few days and have some updates. I turned off XMP, which lowered my 4 RAM sticks to 1866Mhz. The system ran smoothly at first, but in tougher situations it would freeze, crash programs, and show bluescreens. These started yesterday while I was streaming. After running MemTest on each stick, one came up with 10,000 errors, completely stopping the test. I’m planning to use my warranty for them. I really want more RAM, especially for streaming—what should I do? Will underclocking help? Do I need a new CPU? Should I keep two sticks? And how much does performance drop or improve when I lower the RAM speed?
