I begin by describing my setup: a Ryzen 7 2700x, an ASUS Prime X-470 Pro, Corsair Rm750x, GTX 1660 Super, running Windows 10 Pro with 16 GB RAM (8x2). Over the last two days, my computer has repeatedly crashed while playing a specific game. The audio disappears, the screen goes black, and eventually no signal appears on the monitor. This issue has occurred for nearly three years, and each crash is irreversible. It forces a forced restart, which now happens much more slowly than before. Even when loading the desktop, it remains black for several seconds. After the first occurrence, I played the game again the next day, and it failed once more. Now, whenever I play "Trailmakers" for about 20 minutes, the PC crashes repeatedly. It seems this only happens with this game from Steam. I’ve tried resetting the BIOS, but the problem persists. I’m unsure whether the issue lies with the PSU, GPU, or CPU, as other heavier games run fine. My friends who play the same game don’t experience this problem. Any suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated. This situation is extremely frustrating, especially since my PC has become very slow to start up overall, as if it has sustained significant damage.

Do you have particular details about your hardware?
What is the model of your GPU and RAM?
How long has your system been in use?
Have you made any recent changes to your BIOS?

-Ram Ballistix 3200mhz
-Gpu gigabyte
Assembled nearly three years ago
The most recent update was for Windows 22H2. After installing it, the crash occurred. I uninstalled the update, but it still crashes. It seems the update might be the cause.
Since I built the PC, I have installed all the drivers and BIOS updates. Now nothing works, and this happens unexpectedly. I’m not sure if the BIOS is the issue, but if you know anything that could help, please let me know.

Checking history in the search bar can provide some context, though your GPU might be failing. That could explain the lack of signal while fans continue to run. Would you like me to benchmark performance under load?

I'm not sure how to verify if the GPU crashes. If you have any programs to suggest, let me know so I can check. In the meantime, I removed the latest Windows update version 22H2, but the issue persisted. I opened the BIOS and restored it to default settings. After starting the game, it ran continuously for five hours without crashing. I'm still unsure if I've fixed the problem, as the update might have altered the BIOS and caused an overload situation.

Furmark is a good free option for it. For the CPU, consider using cinebench; it's also free and a solid tool. Regarding BIOS settings, what changes have you made? XMP allows your RAM to operate at its rated speed, but anything above the base speed can cause instability—are you intentionally overclocking your GPU with afterburner?

Thank you very much. Tomorrow I plan to test the programs you suggested, but I want to note that I've only enabled XMP for RAM, not overclocked the GPU, and left other components unchanged.
