Greetings everyone! It's been around 5 years since I last assembled a PC, and the moment has finally come for me to start a new PC construction journey. Here are my current PC specifications:

. However, I am now contemplating two different configurations that I have devised, one utilizing AMD/Ryzen and the other utilizing Intel/Nvidia. I must admit that I have always been partial to Intel and Nvidia, primarily due to my experience with them in the past. If the cost/performance does not alter, I would prefer to stick with Intel/Nvidia.
I would greatly welcome any input or recommendations for possible modifications. My budget for this assembly is approximately $2,000, ideally lower. Additionally, I am looking to future-proof this PC for another 5+ years of dependable performance.

Intel configuration: Components appear to be compatible. You can always debate about them.
Have you verified the specifications for that motherboard....the data sheet.....to ensure it includes ALL the features that you MUST have? We don't know the detailed aspects of your needs.
There is always some risk of RAM incompatibility if you deviate from the approved memory list. I did not check to see if your selected RAM is on the list.
If gaming.....what titles at what configurations?
That's a solid Intel CPU.
I don't know what "future-proof" signifies for you.

You may or may not require 3 or 4 NVMe slots.....now or in the future.
You may or may not require 2 Display Port monitor connections.
You may or may not require 5 case fan connections.
You may want multiple high-speed USB ports. I have no knowledge.
If you favor MSI motherboards, you might want to consider the Mortar series or the Tomahawk series. They might be slightly more expensive with various features.

I operate under the assumption that each time I assemble a new computer, it will no longer represent the latest technology within a year's time. In five years, you might require a 6K or 8K monitor to play the latest games. Technology evolves regardless.
An AM5 setup might be more future-proof than Intel, even when both systems utilize DDR5. Intel frequently updates their CPU sockets, hindering a CPU upgrade in two or three years to enhance performance. I possess an equal mix of Intel and AMD systems.
