Whatever you do, don’t panic if power doesn’t appear immediately after applying it. It’s very easy to overlook a connector or misinterpret a connection. Just start fresh and double-check which cables are where. I attached a two-pin connector to the incorrect button pins on the MOBO, and felt that uneasy sensation when trying to power it. But after reading all the discussions here, I stayed calm and followed the usual advice—revisit your steps and confirm everything. Moving just one connection resolved the issue completely.

2TB 970 Evo Plus costs only 80$.
I believe it's a good investment given the size of today's games.
Some models exceed 200GB, and maybe even reach 300GB (crazy).
