PC connection issues with Xbox One controller.
I purchased an Xbox One controller from Microcenter. It's wireless, but I connected it via a USB cable. I've been using it for about four months without any problems, but recently it stopped working. I began playing Tomb Raider and using my keyboard. When switching to Arkham Knight, I connected the controller again, but it didn't function properly. I tested various USB ports, but nothing helped. In Steam, it detects my controller when plugged in. Launching games triggers a pop-up saying "Config: Gamepad." My device manager shows it's detecting the controller and drivers are up to date. I attempted Bluetooth connection, but while my computer recognizes TVs, it can't locate the controller.
Consider removing the Arkham Knight config folder from the specified location. After doing so, check the game to reclaim the configuration files. Restart your device before trying to connect the controller. If using Bluetooth, ensure the Xbox Accessories app is installed. Confirm everything functions properly with the USB cable. Then disconnect and press the sync button on the controller to enter pairing mode, then search for devices in Windows Bluetooth settings. Microsoft provides detailed instructions there.
