I constructed my initial desktop back in 2017 and it performed well, which brought me joy from the moment I turned it on. During long work sessions, the room can become quite warm, almost like being in a sauna. My power supply unit is an EVGA Supernova 550 G2.

I assume leaving out some specifics.
I own these items: AMD-FX, a 3TB hard drive, an EVGA GeFore GTX card, an ASUS WiFi card, a few fans, two memory sticks each 16GB, a CD/DVD drive, and a gaming motherboard.
I’m wondering what PSU size would be suitable for this setup. I was thinking of building a new desktop with airflow, and the one I currently have works but is quite bulky.
I'm really puzzled about this connection; it seems unrelated to how the PC generates heat. The room's temperature will stay the same regardless of the case, and a well-designed case actually helps dissipate heat better by improving air circulation. Case ventilation plays a key role in expelling heat from the PC to the surroundings.
The first desktop I constructed many years ago had no airflow in the case itself, only a fan at the back. Now I've designed my own with improved airflow—two fans at the top, two in front, and one at the back. You can place your hand over the top to feel the warm air being expelled.

I have other components besides the AMD, using two 16GB memory sticks because I spend a lot on MP4. Perhaps a smaller PSU would be better.

Smaller PSU won't make a difference; it provides the exact power needed by the system. If the system needs 500W, it will receive that amount even with a nuclear power plant PSU. In any case, an oversized PSU will generate less heat.
FX 8300 has a hot CPU, and CM 212evo struggles to cool it—consider upgrading.
You won't be able to lower the heat unless there are much more power-efficient parts than what you currently have.
The room becoming too hot is a serious issue, as it indicates poor airflow (the room). This is definitely not ideal for you, and you should ensure proper ventilation in the room.
Once again, unless there's a language barrier, you're misunderstanding what a PC cooler is. They don't make your room cooler, they make your *components* cooler, by more efficiently transferring the heat that's present inside your PC to the air outside your PC.
If you want your room to be cooler, you either have to remove the heat more efficiently (with exhaust fans to the outside or even more effectively, an air conditioner) or have your PC require less power.

For your room to hit 90 degrees the PC would need to be extremely hot, similar to the heat in a sauna.
If you live in a cold area and are accustomed to low temperatures, you might notice the PC warming up your space, but don't exaggerate.
Check hwinfo for the power consumption of your CPU and GPU, which shows how much energy is being used.
The 8320 might be running at high overclock levels and drawing a lot of power.
The 1050ti consumes relatively little.
