PC can't get to POST ?
Hello everyone, I activated Secure Boot on my PC through the BIOS to "prepare" it for Windows 11. When I noticed compatibility issues, I disabled Secure Boot via BIOS and saved before exiting. Immediately after, the PC stopped functioning.
I attempted several fixes: removing the CMOS battery for over an hour, adjusting CLR_CMOS values with a screwdriver for a few seconds and an hour, enabling both RAM sticks in different slots, disconnecting the GPU, and booting without any components.
There was a brief period where the system didn't reboot automatically after a few seconds, but it never entered POST mode since then. I'm seeking advice on what might be wrong with my setup, as my university is expecting me and this is my primary work machine.
Details:
- CPU: i5 7500 3.40GHz
- RAM: 2x8GB DDR4 1200MHz
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B150M-D3VX-SI (Not DualBios...)
- GPU: Ati Radeon RX 570 4GB
The PSU make and model (or part number) is unclear. The age of the PSU isn’t specified, and it’s not confirmed whether it was purchased new or used/refurbished. How to determine this? By checking the GPU and connecting a monitor to MoBo, looking for an image, and considering only one DIMM or RAM. The Intel specs indicate otherwise, but the HD 630 has limitations with Windows 11.
