Hey everyone, recently I got a gaming PC with those specs: Ryzen 5 3600, B550 M. DS3H GeForce GTX 1660, NVMe SSD 500GB, 16GB RAM DDR4 3200MHz, Ant ESport mid tower case, 550W PSU. It worked perfectly for about four days until it froze while watching YouTube videos. Chrome and VS Code were the only apps running. I pressed the reset button on the case, but the PC didn’t restart or shut down. It showed a black screen of death, though everything seemed to be functioning normally except the display. When I force-shut down, it still stayed stuck in that black screen. Could it be the CPU, the case, the motherboard, or the PSU?
Hi. Remove the mainboard battery, let it sit for 1-2 minutes, then the BIOS should reset. After that, attempt a restart. You might also find a way to reset the BIOS using a button on your board instead of taking the battery out (which is also known as UFI or CMOS). Keep in mind you’ll need to reconfigure your UFI/BIOS afterward.
still having trouble turning it off, the case light just flickers without shutting down.
Connect your keyboard and press the power button. If it lights up, the GPU is likely failed. If not, keep just the RAM and restart; this might indicate a motherboard issue.
It functions only when the entire setup is warmed up. The issue isn't related to a speaker connector or a debug LED on the motherboard.
