Hi everyone, I've been working on fixing a friend's PC and ran into some problems. The motherboard is a Fujitsu D3061-B13 with an i5-2500 CPU, 16GB DDR3 RAM. At first, the system wouldn't even start the CPU fan, while the PSU and power fans were spinning. I assumed the power supply was the issue, so I swapped it out with a 600W gold EVGA unit that I knew was fine. That didn’t solve anything. I also tried different RAM modules to check if the memory was the problem, but it still wouldn't work. Eventually, I reset the CMOS and replaced the battery. Now the PC boots into Windows after being powered off and unplugged. However, when I turn it back on immediately, it won’t boot properly. Sometimes I have to wait a few minutes after disconnecting the PSU before it starts. If anyone has advice or knows what’s going on, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

It seems like a tired motherboard, a second-generation i5, long past its support life. Inspect the board for any swollen or leaking capacitors. Given the system's age and the processor, it wouldn't cost much more to replace it with newer, faster components than trying to fix it over time and money.

These were my first ideas, but I made sure I was on the correct path before sharing anything. Thanks for confirming—I really appreciate it!

It might also be the boot drive; I'll perform a health check just to be sure. If the boot drive appears normal, the issue is probably elsewhere.
