Hey gamers, I’m reaching out for some advice. I just got a Dell Latitude 7480 and it’s mostly for work but I play games like CS:GO or Minecraft. It feels sluggish—only about 30 FPS in CS:GO, which was the same on my old machine. Core temp stays under 12W, so power usage is low. The fans are barely spinning. Do you think there’s something I should enable to improve performance? My old specs were Intel i3-4030u, HD graphics, 12GB RAM, DDR4, and an SSD.

Several elements might influence performance. - Ensure the cooling solution is maintained well. - Verify the iGPU is properly tuned—download Intel Graphics Command Center from the Microsoft Store, enable auto-detection for CSGO, and set all performance options to their highest levels. - Review in-game configurations.

Yes, it's possible. A minor adjustment is disabling multicore rendering, and there are options to increase the fan speed.

Not confident based on my own experiences with DELL, but you might explore fan control options online. You can use HwInfo to check CPU and GPU temperatures along with clock speeds. If the issue appears immediately, it could be due to thermal throttling.

It might be the thermal paste that's causing the issue.
