PC begins working only after I disconnect it for a short period and then restart it.
It might begin if the power supply operates for a specific duration. I’d consider updating the BIOS after checking the drivers and ME. If there’s a hardware issue, it could relate to the PSU or motherboard—hard to tell, but testing the PSU seems simpler. Since it works when it starts, a motherboard fault seems more probable.
So I updated the chipset and the ME update tool worked fine. But after finishing, it asked for a reboot, closed, and then didn't start again—probably due to the same problem. Now I'm waiting to see if everything is okay. My main worry is that updating the BIOS might cause issues; could this affect the motherboard?
Can remove the RXT and utilize the onboard GPU, which may reduce stress on the PSU if that's the issue. If it's the motherboard, should it still be replaced regardless. Also considered the suggestion to try rebooting after light load and updating the BIOS, which seems manageable. Ultimately, it's hard to determine the exact steps—just options are available, and you can simply replace the motherboard to see if it resolves the problem.
So the BIOS was updated this morning but the issue persists. Are there any other steps you could attempt?
If you have someone with a PSU, you can apply a test on another PSU.
I focused on the PSU, performed the paper clip test and confirmed it functions. After turning it off and on again, it stopped working unless left off for some time. This suggests it's likely the PSU.
