i used an i3 12100 with uhd 730, 16gb ddr4, and a 550w psu on windows 11. everything seemed fine until I opened a light app like roblox—it ran at only 10 fps. my browser and overall performance felt sluggish too. I restarted the PC and cleared temp files, but I’m not sure what else to try.

Check the event viewer for any items linked to resource usage, and look in the task manager for processes consuming system resources.

No changes in Task Manager, but I’m unsure about handling the Event Viewer.

Running Roblox on the iGPU? I used to play at around 30 FPS before.

Typically operates at 60+ frames per second; IGPU functions well generally, but the problem lies in unexpected slowdowns without any downloads.

Navigate to Custom Views > Administrative Events and check for red warnings. The majority are likely harmless. Then review Windows Logs and Application/System logs.

Check the resource monitor via Task Manager under Performance. Review the sensor data from tools like hwinfo to ensure the cooler is secure. Consider performing a hard shutdown and unplugging it, as simply turning it off and restarting may not resolve the issue.

I thought it could be my hard drive; the previous failure made this issue happen.

It might work. You can run CrystalDiskInfo to verify the SMART data.
