My PC began freezing a few weeks ago while idle. Disabling Global C-state Control in BIOS yesterday resolved the issue. Is it possible to fix this without changing that setting?

Hello there! Could you share your BIOS version, the age of your power supply unit, and how you manage to cool your processor? Also, what is the make and model of your case, and what temperatures do you observe during overheating events?

BIOS version is F8d
Purchased PSU and additional parts two years ago
Using Noctua NH-D15 cooler for the CPU
Equipped with an Antec NX800 case
Attempting to activate Global C-state Control and monitor temperatures

You might launch Task Manager when it's stable, capture a screen shot, but keep it running and wait for the freeze. Then compare the two views. Make sure Task Manager appears from top to bottom by enlarging it so you don’t miss any items that are hard to see without scrolling down.
