Another update: Following a friend's advice, I also lowered the system to 5600 and then 5200. After rebooting, the device became very slow and unresponsive, only opening my browser. After roughly three minutes, I encountered a BSoD with the error message: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I'm now sticking to the original suggestion of disabling DOCP. Just restarted again. Not sure what to do next.

It seems the device attempted to switch into a power-saving mode that it couldn't handle. The advice mainly focuses on disabling power-saving settings for USB or PCIe devices in your PC's power options. However, you might not be able to turn off all such features for every device. For troubleshooting, consider these steps: (USB/PCIE) - Disconnect non-essential USB devices (like mouse, keyboard), remove unnecessary PCIe devices, switch to wired connections for wireless items, and detach any USB headers from the motherboard. (Drivers) - Delete Armoury Crate and disable it in BIOS, install drivers manually, and get chipset and other manufacturer drivers from the source. Software) - Remove any hardware monitoring programs and RGB software. Keep in mind that hardware issues can cause BSODs anywhere, and lingering problems may persist due to corrupted SSD files.

If the issue persists, examine the dump file. If you manage to log into Windows, navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump and verify the presence of any minidump files. If found, return to the Windows directory and transfer the entire Minidump folder to your Downloads folder (or use your desktop if OneDrive isn't available). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to the provided steps since Windows typically disallows file modifications there.

Hi once more, after the restart I checked out the inexpensive Wi-Fi USB I referenced with Tetras. I removed the PCiE Wi-Fi card and installed the USB instead. I was worried about missing drivers, but that didn’t happen. I’ve been waiting until the next restart to revise this post, but I’ve spent an entire day without one already. I’ve tried every “test” I previously attempted that “successfully” triggered restarts—like downloading a game when bandwidth was strained, with many people streaming or playing online. I also ran two games at once while streaming YouTube and used a virtual browser. Although I’m not very tech-savvy, from what I’ve seen so far it seems the problem isn’t just with the Wi-Fi cards I had, but possibly a faulty PCiE slot. Maybe I should consider replacing the motherboard then. Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, I’ve gone three days without a restart, so I won’t jump to conclusions until about a week has passed—hopefully things will improve.

It seems you're looking for help with a PCIE slot issue. The wireless cards you used appear to be similar, and some users have reported instability with them. It might point more toward the cards than the motherboard. If you're considering a replacement, switching to a different brand and chipset—like Gigabyte's WB1733D-I (Intel-based)—could be a good idea.

It seems I experienced another restart recently, this one occurring despite stable bandwidth. During the session I was hosting a watch party in a virtual browser with friends, and suddenly everything slowed down. My internet connection dropped completely, causing the screen to go dark. This restart felt much quicker than before when using Wi-Fi, both in how it shut down and how it restarted. Event Viewer provided clearer details this time. Above the Critical alerts kept appearing, warning of lost internet connection. Just a note: this happened with the old USB Wi-Fi adapter, and I’m still using DOCP disabled. I’m planning to apply the fix suggested by a friend who found a similar error on Reddit. She pointed to a post at https://new.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comment...failed_to/. I’ll try the recommended steps. I checked my registry and noticed only one AMDRyzenMaster folder (version 26), so I changed its startup setting to "4" as advised. It looks like the folder shouldn’t be present since my system runs Adrenaline Edition, not RyzenMaster. I’m also removing and reinstalling all AMD drivers in Safe Mode, avoiding the AMDCleanup tool because I’m unsure it would help. Instead, I’ll uninstall Armoury Crate and use alternative monitoring tools just in case. I’ll update again after another restart or when it doesn’t happen. Second Update: Added a note about the minidump folder I missed earlier; it was from the restart yesterday. Minidump.zip

Hi again, back with an update finally. So it's been about a week since my last update and I have the good news that there has been no restart at all since the changes I mentioned in the last post. For clarities sake, the changes were: - I looked in Regedit for the RyzenMaster folder specified in the error from Event Viewer and set it's "start" thing to "4" so that on boot, it does not launch. - I uninstalled Armoury Crate and disabled its automatic download in BIOS After a few days of no restart, I went back into BIOS and turned DOCP back to 6000 and had no issues after that either. Currently I'm about to put my Wifi card back in (I miss my bluetooth audio lol) and seeing as the issue seems to be resolved, I need to test if the wifi card was an additional issue or not anyway. One unfortunate side effect of the discovery that the issue was Armoury Crate etc is that I've lost the ability to control my PC's RGB. I looked up various alternatives but they either conflict with my Case's manufacturer (MSI) or if I try to use MSI's software for RGB control, i have other issues I'd have to go into detail to explain when this isn't the topic at hand. For now, I just turned all RGB off in BIOS. Anyway, hopefully my next update I will be able to close this topic as Resolved. Even if the Wifi card turns out to be an issue, the solution there is likely just to get a different brand. Cheers again.

Hey there, just wanted to let you know this update came a bit later than expected. No restarts have been needed since the last update. I’m confident the main reason for the restarts was Armoury Crate’s installation problems, as discussed in my earlier posts. I’m glad any of the solutions here could help someone else down the line. Thanks to everyone who assisted, especially Tetras—I wouldn’t have reached this fix without you. If the suggested changes don’t suit you, check out the Reddit thread I linked and my follow-up actions.

I also managed to resolve my lighting issues after removing Armoury Crate. I can still use an older AURA Sync version downloaded from the AMD site directly below the Armoury Crate download. This might be because my motherboard is an older model, while newer ones could work with alternatives like OpenRGB.

Trying to get the RGB software for my case (Mystic Light for MSI) didn’t work either—it was very buggy. Fortunately, the older Aura Sync version still functioned.

Regarding my Wi-Fi card, it was slower and had more bandwidth issues than my adapter. I ended up removing it and added a Bluetooth adapter, which has worked perfectly for the past week. I’m satisfied with the current setup.

Thanks to all, cheers!
