The real problem—my PC wakes up from sleep and instead of showing the Windows lock screen or desktop, I see a black screen. Key points: I’m using two monitors, an Acer Predator X34P and an LG OLED65C9P. This only happens when the TV is connected and turned off. Plugging in the TV or removing the HDMI cable from my video card causes the wake-up to work normally. It occurs whether the PC is locked or unlocked. I’m unsure how to fix it, as this hasn’t happened with other monitors before. I’d rather not constantly plug/unplug the HDMI cable or turn on the TV every time I need to use my computer. I’m not sure if this is due to a Nvidia driver issue, a Windows problem, or something inherent about using a TV as a monitor (if that’s the case, I haven’t heard of it). Anyone have suggestions on how to prevent this? Any general PC details would be helpful.
