You’ve set up Kali Linux on your Windows laptop, but it’s refusing to log in because the password isn’t recognized. You’ve already changed the password during setup, yet the system keeps asking for the old one. This usually happens if the recovery options aren’t properly configured or if there’s a mismatch between the saved credentials and what’s being prompted. Try resetting the recovery password again, ensuring you enter it exactly as stored, and verify that your Windows account is linked to Kali’s recovery method. If issues persist, check for any pending updates or reinstall the recovery tools.

Attempting login with root credentials using the provided password. Verifying Kali's support for root access before proceeding. If unavailable, restart the installation and confirm user/password details.

Was die ISO/Installation vom offiziellen Anbieter korrekt?

I just realized the request was for a root password, but I mistakenly entered the username instead. It functioned correctly once I corrected that.
