Open Command Prompt by pressing Win + R, type netplwiz and press Enter. Make sure the box for "Users must enter a user name and password" is checked, then click OK. After that, uncheck it and save the changes. Restart your PC to verify it works.

I located the login I had previously entered and corrected it, but now accessing it requires using your Microsoft password.

It generated a fresh account for you. When you log in, you can select either your existing Microsoft ID or the newly created one.
