Open Disk Manager, select the drive you want to partition, click on it, and choose the partitioning options to create a new partition.

This Ubuntu should handle the installation for you, I believe. Unless they've updated it since I last used it a long time ago.

You should reduce the drive size in Windows first, then partition it using the Ubuntu installer. Set it to Ext4 format and create a ~4GB swap space for virtual storage. Use the root partition for your main files. Partitioning without shrinking will cause problems with Windows installation.
