Prepare a 100GB drive and install Ubuntu on it. When prompted for the second OS, allocate a new partition in its installer using the remaining space.

You can leave any stored information on the SSD, but if you need to, select the desired partition in the dropdown, use ext4 format, set it as root, and then install.
