I’d keep the switch in place and install the patch panel beneath the lower shelf. For a keystone-style panel, I’d suggest using a coax keystone as well, though you have a punchdown. Enjoy working on the short cables—it’s really challenging to wrap everything up now. lol

I support @Lurick on simplifying the cabling. I’ll mount the patch panel on the underside of the shelf. If drilling isn’t an issue, a small hole near the left back corner would work well for the switch and coax. For a cleaner appearance, consider placing the power strip underneath too. Alternatively, a UPS could keep your network running during outages—your internet might stay online for about 30 minutes.
