You can lower the paging file size to 16MB without causing system problems, as long as your setup allows it. Windows will manage stability, so you don’t need to worry about crashes or instability if you adjust it properly.

Hibernation operates without relying on the pagefile; it depends on hibernate.sys. Sleep does not require any system files. During sleep mode, RAM remains active and is not saved elsewhere.

You have quite a bit of memory available. Just turn it off entirely—this device has worked well for me over the years without any problems.

A 3072MB page file can significantly free up space on the SSD. I’ve used pagefile-less for many years without any issues, whether playing games or working. Running on Windows 7 with 16GB RAM and an SSD.

Windows handles paging to disk, apps request memory, and it moves data between disk and RAM as needed. Based on your activities, you might want to minimize or eliminate the pagefile in c:\. If you're working with big databases or multiple VMs, keeping the pagefile can lead to running out of system resources quickly.

You can relocate most of the pagefile to the HDD if available. Keep a smaller 512MB file on the SSD as a backup in case of boot issues.
