Pagefile usage during gaming
Pagefile usage during gaming
In general, hardware setup shouldn't influence memory consumption.
I’m not entirely confident about that claim. All those multicores seem to be a benefit for society through their self-adjusting capabilities. Another feature of my machine is that when I adjust memory speed, it typically selects the lowest Hz with the 6-6-6-18 rating. I’m not sure where it learned this approach—it just happened one day… or perhaps Google provides guidance on my phone while I’m trying to plan a route for someone else on the call. It’s just a strange life. I’m simply noting that a CPU built for office tasks is likely to explore alternative methods, which is why I also considered adjusting the machine’s age. Maybe like in Total War, it tries to use the system to manage the GPU’s workload. It’s possible my CPU picked up this strategy from the game… There’s also a common suggestion to increase the pagefile size on older machines, as it can influence gameplay in certain ways. Another factor in this conversation is someone who admits using more pagefile space, which makes me wonder… I’m curious about your current system—maybe with a gaming image and your pagefile stats?
