Lowering the page file size can improve performance by reducing usage, making the system faster. Having 16GB of RAM may be sufficient to disable it if you have enough space. The 3000Mhz RAM running at 2133Mhz could be due to disabled XMP settings or older hardware.

The default setting is 2133, but you need to turn on 3000 in your BIOS using XMP.

2133 is the standard for DDR4 at any speed above that. For speeds beyond it, you must use XMP to activate it.

Appreciate the message, but I won't delete anything. Just going to restart the PC and press the delete key.

Regarding the pagefile, it helps the system use disk space when RAM is full.

Manually changing the page file size isn't recommended. Windows usually handles it well, and running out of space can cause serious issues. Also, 16GB isn't sufficient to justify turning it off.

Increases memory consumption without benefit, possibly causing performance drops. Keep the page file unchanged—it's managed by the OS and only needed when required.

Pagefile is utilized even when most RAM is unused because it helps manage memory more efficiently, especially under heavy workloads or when the system runs low on physical memory.
