No need for extra steps, it won’t help your performance. A page file matching your RAM size is recommended.
Pagefile is utilized mainly during high workloads, especially when RAM contains significant cache. Expanding its size might lead to major problems. You should be fine with enlarging it if your storage device is sufficiently fast or uses an SSD. I don’t suggest it since I personally had to reinstall Windows after experiencing crashes.
