Hi there, I’m facing some issues installing Windows 10 on my computer. I reformatted the installation media for Windows 8.1 and then tried to install Windows 10. I used Ninite to download programs and installed a few, then rebooted to finish the setup. After that, it attempted automatic repair but failed to boot. I restarted again after about two and a half hours of downloading programs, but the problem persisted. This time I created a system restore point before installing everything, and it worked through automatic repair. Now I’m frustrated and confused. I suspect either a program is interfering with Windows 10 or there might be an issue with my motherboard—maybe I need to update the BIOS. What do you think is going on? I used the same .ISO file as my brother’s, which is working, so it shouldn’t be the case. Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you experimented with a different ISO?

I might attempt it, but I’m curious to know if there’s another option since my connection is only 5mbit/s and uploading a fresh ISO would be difficult.

You might want to refresh your BOIS settings; they could resolve the issue. On your motherboard, is it using UEFI or Legacy mode, and which one is active? Are you enabling Windows updates for your system? Have you ever rebooted and everything worked?

I believe UEFI is active on both systems, but I can't verify it right now since I'm not at home. I know my machine uses UEFI, and I'm assuming Windows Update is enabled. No recent restart or known issues have occurred.

I would save the Windows 10 installer from that link and attempt the Microsoft download page. Apologies for the delayed response.
