It should work fine, but watch out for fake USB drives.

Get an 8GB drive, ANY 8GB drive. Even the shittiest thing you've ever seen in our life, crusted with old food and stepped on even. You're making him overthink. Just do the USB drive, and be done. It's so not rocket science. No, stop. You're adding more to worry about. Just no. There is no fake 8GB Sandisk for $6.80. Nope.

He might find it easier to use an SD card reader instead of buying a new one. Got it. Cool.

Hey, I know this might sound a bit confusing, but I’m just starting out. Should I move my M.2 SSD from the laptop to a brand new PC? Will that work smoothly, especially with antivirus and Windows 10 installed? Thanks!

Usually it could be, but not everything will connect properly due to the many drivers involved, etc. This is essentially a risky move and may not function across different systems. It’s best to perform a clean installation. I purchased a 64GB SanDisk from Hong Kong, but only 32GB was available. I believed it was fake for over a year, but after formatting or initializing it, the full 64GB became accessible. Still confused about why this happens, though I find it reasonable since it was very affordable and it actually worked : p

Are you setting up Windows from scratch or just looking for a general overview of your games and software?
