Hey everyone! I’ve got a Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF that came with Ubuntu. After wiping it, I installed Windows 10. I noticed some differences when the systems boot up. With Ubuntu, the UEFI would launch directly into it. But with Windows, it didn’t start that way. When I powered it on, it would show the Dell logo, go through the BIOS and boot menu, and after about three seconds, the screen would flash with another Dell logo before continuing normally. That’s a small hiccup that bothers me.
The BIOS is set to UEFI mode, legacy option is off, and secure boot is enabled. The hard drive setup is AHCI, and the PC has two storage options: a GPT SSD for Windows and an MBR HDD for games. My build includes an i7-3770 processor, 3.4GHz base with up to 3.9GHz boost, a HyperX Fury 1600MhZ 2x8GB MSI GTX1050Ti, and a 180GB SSD from SeaGate at 7200RPM. The Dell power supply is solid and handles the heat well.
