Packet Loss
Packet Loss
You're experiencing significant packet loss, around 18% or higher. This could result from issues in your phone line connection, ADSL filter, router, switch, or cabling. The long cat7 cables between the switch and computers might be degrading the signal. Consider checking all connections, testing with a different cable, or contacting your ISP for further diagnosis.
There could be significant interference on the connection or the cable may be deteriorating at some point along the route into your home. If packet loss remains steady across all devices, I would contact your ISP to arrange a site inspection of the incoming lines. The wiring might be outdated, particularly in older neighborhoods, and any damage detected could result in the provider refusing to intervene unless repairs are costly.
