Overwatch seemed a bit dull today.
It was a birthday present from my dad, so I can easily earn some credit for Hearthstone or finally grab a Sc2 lotv. I don’t believe it’s too bad, but I’m not sure I’ll spend more than about 30 hours on it.
Hey, not everyone enjoys every match? Who knew I'd be dreading a dodgeball game? I get it, I prefer sniping in solo campaigns instead of fast-paced action. That's why I didn't even register for the Overwatch beta.
Exactly how I like my numbers: clean and taken from someone's grasp... that feels off.
It's nice that the game is dynamic, allowing you to see if you enjoy it or not and request a refund. It's hard to convey this clearly through roleplay, as I experienced with Fallout 4—initially liked it but later saw it was just a remake of the older Fallout 3 version. Hope you have a smooth refund process.
I actually got a very different reaction than expected. What I thought was a $30 TF2 Clone turned out to be quite the surprise. After trying the open beta, I'm really excited now. The game offers much deeper layers and complexity than I imagined. I spent around 14 hours during the beta and can't wait to keep playing. I placed a pre-order on Thursday after the beta closed. Still, it seemed like just the start of something bigger. I understand some might say the game modes feel a bit generic, but I was really impressed by how varied the playstyle is. The cast brings a lot of unique approaches, making even one game feel fresh and enjoyable. I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops—it has plenty of potential but the core is solid and engaging.
Enjoyed the closed and open testing phases. However, I’m aware of many who tried it during the open phase and weren’t impressed. I believe no single form of entertainment guarantees universal approval, so if it doesn’t suit you, consider skipping the pre-order. No worries at all.
It's enjoyable. I focus more on competitive play with rankings.
