Previously I achieved around 170fps, now it's dropping to about 100fps. Nothing changed except the settings. I keep using all low levels to hit the highest fps. Suddenly only a steady 100fps is consistent. My system specs: i5-4690k, 4.3ghz, GTX 960, 16gb RAM.

Did you refresh your drivers recently? Have you experimented with DDU and gone back to previous versions?

Sure, I can attempt to use MSI Afterburner or similar tools to monitor CPU, GPU, RAM, and disk usage.

Verify that VSync settings are cleared and confirm the render scale is set to 100, as it can increase unexpectedly.

Install MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner. Navigate to the settings for AB, select the option that says On Screen Display: Spoiler, and then choose what you wish to view during gameplay. The OSD will appear automatically when you begin a game.

Verify your display options. They may refresh once the update is applied
