I'm not sure if this fits the right category, so I added it to General. Feel free to adjust if needed. Recently, I assembled a new gaming PC and installed Overwatch. At the moment, I don't have a GPU yet—I've been using the Intel 530 HD Graphics on an i7 6700k that I overclocked to 4.7Ghz. Initially, the game ran smoothly at the lowest settings, but now it freezes whenever I try to move even a little. It won't respond at all, and I can't control the mouse. Restarting the PC seems necessary. I'm unsure what's causing this sudden crash after it was working perfectly before. Could anyone help me understand why?

PC specifications:
- i7 6700k
- 4.7Ghz OC
- ASUS Z-170 Deluxe
- Corsair 16GB RAM
- Samsung 950 Pro SSD
- WD Black Series 1T HDD
- NZXT Kraken x61 AIO liquid cooler

The temperatures are being measured during this event, and the game is running at a 1080p resolution.

It wouldn't be a gaming PC without a dedicated GPU. IGPs work best for lower resolutions like 720p. You might want to try reinstalling the game or disabling the overclock.

I haven't looked at the tempts yet. I tested the CPU with AIDA 64 for 15 minutes and it stayed under 68°C, which isn't indicative of Overwatch performance. The game is updating regularly, so I'll recheck later and get back to you. For now, I was playing smoothly with a 15% overclock for the first couple of days before it stopped working.

I'm still figuring out how to get my GPU working. It took longer than expected, and I wasn't patient. I noticed others were using just the CPU for the game, so I decided to give it a shot. Lol

The clock speed issue doesn’t seem to be the main cause. It might be due to a recent update by Blizzard that exceeds the graphics capabilities built into the system.

I made the game updates, but now I can't even start the play button in the main menu—it crashes immediately. I haven’t been able to use it for more than five seconds before closing because I couldn’t do anything. It doesn’t seem like the temperature issue is the problem.

I'm not aware of any similar occurrences in other games.

It might be the Xbox DVR feature in Windows 10 causing issues. Some users reported difficulties with it.
