CS demands strong collaboration—teamwork, timing, and communication are essential. Success depends on collective effort, not just personal talent.

I'm not claiming they don't have team abilities, but individual talent stands out more compared to Overwatch. Take the Shanghai Dragons as an example—they have just a couple strong players, while the rest are mediocre, leading to zero wins and many defeats.

I really enjoy what's happening so far. I'd love a clearer route to enter the open division for contenders. I find certain teams entertaining and memes like Jakerat make me want to dive deeper into competitive gaming. I also wish there was a team from the Midwest that I could support, preferably from Michigan, but Chicago would work too since it's a big city.

I support the open division aspect. I’d prefer a more continental European squad rather than focusing on a single US team. Europe currently has representation from places like London, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, while the UK is the only one so far.

It seems they’re trying to turn OW into something like a real sport with city-based teams. Personally, I believe it would be better if they understood that esports and sports can be distinct. I’m not saying esports aren’t a sport at all, but the current setup feels confusing. That’s just my perspective.

Not every sports club is necessarily linked to a city. This arrangement likely stems from simple economic principles in sports management, where profit-driven leagues (like the NBA) often associate their brand with a specific location to secure a market advantage. They aim to expand their reach by designating each team to a particular area.

Occasionally, another set of individuals in the same urban area might possess superior abilities yet face obstacles in forming their own group because of existing structures.

The organizations don't recruit athletes from the local area (such as the London Spitfire, which is made up entirely of Korean players). This pattern is similar to professional leagues like the NBA. The Cleveland Cavaliers aren't required to have players who live in Cleveland.

They usually go through a selection process where players are chosen based on criteria beyond just rank.

They intended a draft system but ended up with a free market. This hurts competitive balance because it contrasts with differences like NBA drafts versus European football leagues. It’s a good idea for teams to avoid becoming overly dominant, and keeping viewers engaged is important.
