I've encountered an issue with Overwatch recently after upgrading my GPU. Here are my system details: i5-9400F, 16GB DDR4, 2666MHz, GTX 1650 → RTX 3060. The performance has been inconsistent lately. Sometimes the frame rate reaches around 300 FPS, but then it drops sharply to 260 or even lower. This fluctuation is significant and often drops below my monitor's 165Hz refresh rate. GPU utilization stays near zero (around 6% max), while my CPU remains at full capacity. I know Overwatch is CPU-heavy like CS:GO, but this sudden drop is concerning. With the GTX 1650, I usually see around 180–220 FPS mid-game, though it can dip below 180 occasionally. I've tried running DDU in safe mode, reinstalled NVIDIA drivers without using GeForce Experience, checked power settings in both Windows and NVIDIA, and confirmed everything is set to maximum. Other games like Valorant and Apex Legends run smoothly, especially Apex which is GPU-intensive. The only factor increasing GPU usage was pushing everything to EPIC scaling with around 200% – that brought usage up to 30–40%, but FPS stayed low. There’s no thermal throttling detected. My GPU temperature never exceeded 66°C, and my CPU max temp is about 55°C. I also ran a game for a while and kept the system cool. This seems unusual for my setup.

Have you attempted to adjust graphics configurations in OW? Or did you start with a preset and then modify it yourself?

It reinitialized itself automatically after installing a new GPU, and once reset, it adjusted the settings on its own.
